Our Messed Up Wonderland

The world we live in is a messed up place.
The history of humanity - regardless of where you are from, our history is filled with stories and legends of wars, mass killings, deaths, plagues.
Cain killing Abel, the many ruling nations over Mesopotamia, who each killed each other to gain power, the numerous Greek and Roman wars, The Great War, The Holocaust and World War II, Vietnam and Korean wars, Iraqi War... ISIS, and now lone Radical Terrorists committing unthinkable atrocities in our globalized world's greatest cities.
Not to mention the social problems that arise due to different mentalities and different ideologies of different individuals. Some have even began to draw conclusions on whether it's still worth to live on this planet. They tend to ask themselves... "why live in such a world?"
Some people tend to blame "society" for all the problems of today. That "society" and the social fabric that we live in is the reason for all the wars, all the murders, and all the "bad" things in general.  But... they fail to realize is that they themselves are part of this "society", they are also the part of the social fabric, the gears (figuratively speaking) that keeps the wheel running!
People in our society have lost the meaning of finding the true essence of life. The people of Our Society have lost a key aspect that focuses our attention on making more, and trying to earn more, yet we are never satisfied. We hold material wealth to such a high standard, that we fail to see that there is much more to life than we think.
I say, we have become used to a system. A system of "wanting more", where we want a better version of a specific object, and always wanting to have a "better version" of a product than compared to other people. We always want to have "the best product possible" This is the spark that starts the flame of social problems, which over time lead to separations and even wars on the larger scale!
However, I want to tell you that there is a way to live through these problems - and in fact live the best live possible!

Visionary and Author Vivian Greene puts it best "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain"

We can live an amazing life as humans, if we learn to live in our world, seeing the best in it, being okay with what we have, learning to appreciate that which we have, and being thankful for it all. Casting aside all problems, we can create our own little Wonderland of peaceful tranquility - yet it all begins with the individual.

That's what we have to do to make our own Wonderland amidst the chaos in Modern "Planet Earth"
